Anger management

On 10th June,2016 Dr Mythili Hazarika Deputy Editor, OJPAS stated that ‘anger is an emotion experienced by every human being and that its okay to feel angry because you’re going to feel how you feel but, how you act is up to you. And that matters, because how you act leads to consequences’ at NIPCCD, Khanapara for the counselors and case- workers of child care institutions from Eastern states. She elaborated on various techniques to control anger from being aggressive like how to stop-think and then act, problem solving approaches, self- talk and building up one’s level of frustration tolerance. Her approaches were discussed in detail with examples and hypotheses that helped the audience to have a practical exposure to managing all kinds of negative emotions and thereby, building resilience among children specifically in  the victims of neglect and abuse.
