Chief Guest in Annual Sports Day

rgsDeputy Editor of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS™), Mythili Hazarika was invited to be the Chief Guest in the Annual Sports Day in Royal Global School on 19 November, 2016. Her speech had enlightened the audience on the essentials of sports in a child’s life not only as a regular exercise but to experience the communal feeling of being in a team, like learning to trust and depend on others, to accept hope, to give hope, to work together towards a common goal. And in addition to commitment to a team and doing something which is fun, sports participation have also found to reduce the risk of various mental illnesses in children like anxiety, emotional and behavioural problems and build resilience in children by building up their tolerance to frustration.
