Novel Innovations in Biomedical Sciences-2019

Marami Baishya, the editorial board member of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®) has been awarded the second best oral award for the paper entitled “Post partum depression and associated risk factors: a descriptive study in tertiary care teaching hospital” in the sub-theme ‘Nursing and Health Care’ of one day National seminar on “Novel Innovations in Biomedical Sciences-2019” (NIBS-2019) organised by NEMCARE Group of Institutions, Mirza, Kamrup, Assam in association with Assam Science & Technology University, Assam Nurses’ Midwives & Health Visitors’ Council, Regional Drug Testing Laboratory & State Drug Testing Laboratory (AYUSH).

The Editor-in-Chief of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®), Shyamanta Das spoke on the myths, facts, and evidence-base of long-acting injectable (LAI) antipsychotics to the doctors of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), and National Health Mission (NHM) officials at Hotel Imphal in Manipur.
Publication Skill Development

Samrat Singh Bhandari, the Assistant Editor of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®) attended the workshop on “Publication Skill Development” under the aegis of IPS (Indian Pharmacological Society) organised by Dept. of Pharmacology, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS) at New College Building, SMIMS, Gangtok. Sikkim Medical Council has granted 2 (Two) credit hours.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®), Shyamanta Das co-chaired with Dr. Chiranjeeb Kakoty, Director, NE SPYM the session, “Substance use in children and response of NGOs” sharing of good practices of NE State in One Day Reginal Level Consultation on Drugs & Substance Use among Children in NE States organised by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights in Collaboration with Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Foundation for Integrated Support and Solution at Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, Guwahati.

OJPAS® editors in ANCIPS 2019

Managing Editor, Editorial Board Member, and Assistant Editor of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®) Utpal Bora, Maheshwar Nath Tripathi, and Samrat Singh Bhandari respectively are in Lucknow for the 71st Annual National Conference of Indian Psychiatric Society (ANCIPS 2019). Utpal Bora and Maheshwar Nath Tripathi presented the symposium, “Psychiatry training in undergraduate medical students: Time to delve, deliberate and deliver” along with Subhash Das. Samrat Singh Bhandari co-chaired the “ADHD parent training workshop”.
Another Editorial Board Member of OJPAS®, Prosenjit Ghosh co-chaired and spoke in the symposia, “The overlooked nuances of the problem of addiction” and “Nicotine and psychopathology: ‘gateway’ to ‘hardening’” respectively.

Editorial Board Member of the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®), Marami Baishya has participated as Delegate in “Course Workshop on Research Methodology” organised by Army Institute of Nursing (AIN), Guwahati in collaboration with Prof. R. A. Fisher Educational Society from 28-31 January, 2019 at AIN, Guwahati earning 32 credit hours and 12 credit points.
