Devyani joins OJPAS®

Devyani Borkataki joins the Open Journal of Psychiatry & Allied Sciences (OJPAS®) as Editorial Assistant. Devyani completed her bachelor’s from Lady Shri Ram (LSR) College for Women under Delhi University (DU) and master’s from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). She underwent training on feminist counselling and documentation; secularism, democracy, and documenting the violations; international perspectives in citizenship, democracy, and accountability; application of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW); outcome and impact orientation; new laws for women; participatory rural appraisal; and budget analysis.

Devyani has been a resource person/speaker on gender training, right to information, and for the Indian Association of Women Studies. She was a researcher/research consultant in projects of World Vision and United Nation. She worked for internally displaced persons of violence, capacity building of grassroots women leaders in decision-making processes, barefoot counselling, advocacy strategies and networking, rehabilitation and training for multiple disabilities.
